1. Agreement By downloading, installing, or using the Bible Verse Reader app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") with parizene ("we," "us," "our"). If you disagree, do not use the App.
2. Privacy Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described therein.
3. Eligibility You must be at least 13 years old to use this App and legally able to form a binding contract.
4. License We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable app store rules.
5. Intellectual Property The App and its content are owned by parizene and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or extract the source code without our written permission, unless prohibited by law. Bible translations included in the App (KJV, BSB, WEB) are in the public domain or used under license.
6. App Function & Content The App provides Bible reading, daily verses, mood-based verse recommendations, and AI-generated explanations. AI explanations are generated by artificial intelligence and are not a substitute for professional theological guidance, pastoral counseling, or mental health services. We do not guarantee the theological accuracy of AI-generated content. Features may change with updates.
7. Third Parties The App uses third-party services including:
Your use of the App subjects you to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.
8. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon intellectual property or privacy rights
- Compromise security or attempt unauthorized access
- Scrape or extract data from the App
- Circumvent technical measures
- Transmit malware or harmful code
- Use the App for unintended purposes
9. Purchases & Subscriptions
- Pricing and terms are available in the App or app store page
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24+ hours before renewal
- Manage subscriptions through your app store account
- Payments are generally non-refundable except as required by law
- Prices may change with notice
10. Disclaimers THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR SECURITY. AI-GENERATED EXPLANATIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS AUTHORITATIVE THEOLOGICAL, PASTORAL, OR MENTAL HEALTH GUIDANCE.
11. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARIZENE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP, OR $10.00 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved as follows:
- First, through good faith negotiation (at least 30 days)
- If unresolved, through binding arbitration conducted in accordance with widely recognized commercial arbitration rules
- Any arbitration will be conducted in English, unless prohibited by law
- Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first using the App by emailing us at parizene@gmail.com with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line.
13. Class Action Waiver YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES INDIVIDUALLY AND WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, UNLESS PROHIBITED BY LAW.
14. Compliance You represent that you are not in a U.S. embargoed country or on any U.S. Government restricted party list.
15. App Store Provisions If using the App from the Apple App Store:
- This agreement is between you and parizene, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
16. Updates to Terms We may update these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of changes. Material changes will be notified via the App or email.
17. Termination We may terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason. All provisions which by their nature should survive will do so.
18. Severability If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary.
19. Indemnification You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless parizene from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
20. Force Majeure We are not liable for failures due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or technical failures.
21. Assignment You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction or notice.
22. Feedback Any feedback or suggestions you provide about the App may be used without restriction or compensation.
23. Accessibility We strive to make our App accessible to users with disabilities. If you require accommodations, please contact us.
24. Entire Agreement These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and parizene regarding the App, superseding any prior agreements.
25. Waiver Our failure to enforce any right will not be deemed a waiver of future enforcement of that or any other right.
